Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty come and experience peace and tranquillity with outstanding views of the south Cornwall coast.
A simple and uncomplicated site ideal for those looking for relaxation and stunning scenery, the only sounds to break the peace and quiet is the cows or the tractor from our neighbouring farm.
We have 13 caravan and camping pitches in total, we can accommodate upto 10 tents, but can only have 5 vans at any one time.
At the top end of the site there is a separate area with a lovely hot shower, and toilet, a semi covered sink and drainer for washing dishes, a rain water tub for washing of those sandy, salty wetsuits, recycling bins and a CDP point for touring caravans.
We are an off grid site so No electricity, all lighting is solar or battery powered, therefore light pollution is a minimal so night skies can be truly breath-taking.
What our clients say
This is the most breath-taking site, the sea views are outstanding and the picture is ever changing. The hosts have clearly worker very hard to get this site up and running and have done a fabulous job. The toilet and showers are amazing, for a site with no power this is like home from home. They are fabulous hosts who will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs and you must try the free range duck eggs from their lovely flock of ducks. We will be returning, it is close to the beautiful harbour town of Porthleven which has everything you need and a cock stride away from the wonderful beauty of Rinsey Cove Beach. We took our 2 dogs that were made very welcome and joined in the fun with the hosts 2 beautiful golden retrievers. I’d rate the site 20 out of 10.
After a recent stay at dropped anchor I can highly recommend this site. The facilities are second to none. Deb and Joe are excellent hosts very hospitable. And the views are breathtaking. Absolutely stunning.
The site is located near to all amenities. Pubs. Restaurants etc all within a couple of miles. Along with being centrally located to a lot of tourist attractions. Will definitely be returning.
Just had a lovely stay at Dropped Anchor, a nice quite site with the most amazing sea views, the toilet and shower where fantastic, large spacious pitches with nice mowed grass. Good location as central to Penzance, Lands End and the Lizard Peninsula.
Evening time was wonderful watching the boats all lit up the lighthouses flashing and the dark night sky full of stars whilst sitting around our own fire pit. We will definitely be back thank you to the hosts Deb and Joe we will happily recommend.
This camp site is exceptional with the owners ( Joe and Deb ) taking personal care of everything. The facilities are spotlessly clean. Site is very well maintained, a little gem ! The wc & showers are clean and have lovely hot water. The site is in a beautiful location with fantastic views, very peaceful, a short walk to Rinsey ( 15 minutes ) and your on the coastal path, Praa sands to the right ( 2 miles ) Porthlevon to the left ( 2 miles ) There is a pub at the top of the lane ( 15 mins walk ) Pitches are well spaced and very generous, this is a dog friedly site and you will find Bonnie & Jess ( resident pets ) will make your pets feel very welcome. We are looking to returning in the summer. 10/10.
